Join us for a virtual event featuring:
Threadlines SWANA Stitch Show with virtual tour, live panel with artists Emma Welty, Delana Karimi-Tavakol and Jenna Aliya Hanson, and an interview with Wafa Ghnaim.
We will discuss threadlines, traditions, heritage, lineage and diaspora in the context of handwork, art and craft with our panelists. The event also features a pre-recorded interview with artist, curator and teacher Wafa Ghnaim who is a significant connection on many of our stitchers threadlines.
This recording will also feature a virtual tour of our show for anyone and everyone who can’t make it in person to SWANA Rose in Portland, Oregon. It will showcase the works for 23 SWANA artists, hailing from various traditions, diasporas and artistic practices.
